Travis second graders in Mrs. Thompson’s class are actively engaged in hands on, meaningful learning with the implementation of the Education Foundation grant awarded to the class. Grant funds were used to purchase six Osmo devices which allows for hands on exploration of math, creative learning in all content areas and daily incorporation of technology into learning. Along with the Osmo devices, iPads were also purchased to engage students in critical thinking and writing activities, and several stability balls that are used to promote on task behavior. |
Riley F: “The tablets make learning to tell time fun!”
Brianna D: “The balance balls are fun but you can’t bounce on them!”
The campus and Mrs. Thompson’s class are thankful to the Education Foundation for making the Osmo, balance balls, and tablets possible, and enriching student learning.
